Introduction
This is a page for features requests both immediate and long-term. Simple features that merely extend existing features or provide an API to existing functionality are appropriate for immediate consideration. New or more ambitious features are best off as considerations for later work.
Please note that there is not any guarantee that W3C will ever look at this page so please also tell W3C directly about your wishes.

This is a wishlist for upcoming versions of SVG. These address simple extensions of existing features that didn't make it into the Spec.

Future Requests
This is a wishlist for later versions of SVG. The needs on this page are things that may not make it into an upcoming Spec, but should be considered for later editions of the Spec.
This page is a place for discussion and collaborative work on getting the best stuff into SVG2.0 or later.
The most effective proposals are those that fit into the framework of the existing functionality, and that have a clear and common use case. There are no implementations that are 100% conformant, so please read the Spec to see if your request is covered there; if it is, you should send requests to implementors to include that functionality.

- User Interface (viewers, editors, handheld, mobile)
